1929年4月中旬，毛泽东同志第一次来到兴国，13日毛委员参加了兴国党团书记陈奇涵在鸡心岭召开的群众大会，号召大家参加革命。4月15日，兴国革命委员会成立。紧接着毛泽东同志在潋江书院亲自主办了“兴国县土地革命培训班。”

　　共产党员梅春芳以开旅馆为掩护的联络站“芳园旅舍”，紧靠潋江书院，平时很多共产党领导人在这里举行重要会议和革命活动，梅春芳的妹妹梅春凤在县城背街以黄氏宗祠名义开办的“黄隆顺”客栈。因为更具有隐蔽性也自然成了共产党活动的重要场所。

　　毛委员来到兴国后，陈奇涵同志对毛委员说：“毛委员，我们想请您去家里吃饭，但我们的房子都被反动派烧了，还是我们几个人打“斗目”（合伙），请你去一个可靠的地方聚一次”。陈奇涵、胡灿、萧芳全三人陪同毛泽东同志来到潋江书院百米之遥的“黄隆顺”客栈用餐。

　　“黄隆顺”主厨梅春凤早早已在客厅等候，见毛委员来了立即开始上菜，口齿伶俐的梅春凤每送上一道菜就报一道菜名，并说上一句吉祥话。第一道菜是兴国鱼丝，梅春凤说：这是我们兴国的特产鱼丝，是用鱼肉做的。拌鱼丝就是食了要常想念家乡，想念家里的老娘和亲人。胡灿听了笑着说“今天要换个说法，你看每根鱼丝那么长，就像潋江河的水，长流不息，我们的革命事业也像江河之水源源不断，长流不息。”

　　第二道菜是素炒雪豆，陈奇涵微微一笑，“素炒雪豆，像征革命事业聚集全体人民的力量，聚沙成塔，共同努力，取得革命成功。”

　　毛泽东意味深长的说：“如今，老百姓盼望共产党带领他们打土豪，分田地，就像星星盼月亮一样啊。”这个美丽而富有含意的名字，在兴国大地迅速传颂，能歌善舞的兴国老俵中立即流传这样一首山歌：“能赚黄金能赚银，难得领袖取菜名，春风吹满黄隆顺，四星望月永传承”。

　　中国大文豪郭沫若先生，六十年代品尝这道菜以后称之为“天下第一菜”，陈奇涵将军晚年在接待兴国党史办的同志时，深情地回忆说：毛主席经常提起在我家乡请他吃饭的事，就是指这一次。

　　从此，“四星望月”载入了中国名菜谱，进入了人民大会堂国宴，今天列入了兴国非物质文化遗产，成了兴国人民接待尊贵客人的一道名菜，兴国流传了一首优美的山歌：黄隆顺里灯烛明，红军设宴敬伟人，领袖笑谈兴国菜，“四星望月”传美名。
